UC develops new treatment for aflatoxin in pistachios
A beneficial fungus is being used for the first time in San Joaquin Valley pistachio orchards this summer, to protect the nuts from aflatoxin contamination. The University of California said last week that research conducted for the past 11 years at its Kearney Agricultural Research and Extension Center in Parlier led to the development.
