2011 tomato crop may match 2010
For a second straight year, harvest of California-grown processing tomatoes has been delayed by wet, cool spring weather. In a report last week, the U.S. Department of Agriculture said harvest was 10 to 14 days behind schedule when it started in mid-July, but was well under way by August.
