Survey asks about COVID-19 impact
The California Farm Bureau Federation and its affiliate Farm Employers Labor Service want to know how the novel coronavirus and COVID-19 have affected California farms and ranches, and have posted an online survey so farmers and ranchers can provide information anonymously.
CFBF President Jamie Johansson said the COVID-19 Farm & Ranch Employer Impact Survey is intended to assess the pandemic's effects on employment, farm businesses, farm operations, farm families and farm incomes.
The 18-question survey asks whether any employees have been unable to work due to the stay-at-home orders intended to slow the disease; whether employees or their family members have contracted COVID-19; whether farms or ranches have lost customers or sales due to market disruptions; availability of personal protective equipment; and related questions.
A link to the survey can be found at the COVID-19 News & Resources page on the FELS website: www.fels.net/1/30-labor/654-ready-for-covid-19.html.
