Mid-October storms delay Central Valley harvests

Remnants of Typhoon Songda from the western Pacific hitched a ride to North America on the jet stream late last week and poured rain on Northern California over the weekend. For some growers trying to bring in crops, the weekend amounted to a big, wet delay-of-game penalty.
