Soil research aims to help with drought resilience

Learning more about soil will help California farmers cope with drought, according to University of California researchers. A team of UC scientists won a $1.69 million grant to conduct a program of field and laboratory research on soil, involving a variety of crops, farming practices and irrigation methods.
