Prescribed burns, cattle grazing help reduce fire risk

Ranchers have believed for some time that more cattle grazing on public land, increased use of prescribed burning, and timber harvesting could all play a role in reducing the fuel load that contributes to the danger of catastrophic fires in California's wildlands.
