Fungi in soil help plants take up needed nutrients

Plant root efficiency, the ability to seek out available soil moisture, is an important factor in drought tolerance. The efficiency can be achieved through a fungal relationship, said Larry Simpson, a speaker at the Sustainable Organic Seminar held in Tulare.
