Organic growers receive aid

The California Certified Organic Farmers Foundation has announced the awards from its 2014 Bricmont Hardship Assistance Fund, which offers financial assistance to organic farmers across North America who have incurred losses due to disasters, including fire, hurricane, drought and pesticide drift. The fund was renamed last year in memory of CCOF founding member Barney Bricmont, an early certified-organic producer of salad greens on the Central Coast.
