House passes bill extending rules on bonus depreciation

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that makes 50 percent bonus depreciation permanent and expands the deduction to vines and trees that bear fruits and nuts, a benefit to California's specialty crop farmers. Bonus depreciation is one of 50-plus tax provisions that expired at the end of 2013.
