Beekeepers, deputies report increase in beehive thefts

As beekeepers gear up for almond pollination—one of their busiest times of the year—reports of stolen beehives have already reached sheriff's departments around California. This trend of beehive thefts has been ongoing in California for the past several years, due to low supplies and increased demand for bees.
