CDFA board reviews groundwater issues and solutions

Experts outlined the extent and seriousness of groundwater declines in California during presentations to the state Board of Food and Agriculture in Sacramento last week. Members of the board and a variety of experts expressed concern about potential depletion of the state's underground aquifers, which supply roughly one-third of the water used by agriculture and urban areas.
