USDA agency leader discusses future of crop insurance

As his agency works to create new crop insurance programs, rework existing programs and deal with a tight federal budget, U.S. Department of Agriculture Risk Management Agency Administrator Bill Murphy visited California this month to address the annual Crop Insurance Research Bureau conference in Palm Springs.
