Groups urge Congress to avoid further farm bill cuts

Nutrition and agricultural programs have already made a significant contribution to federal spending cuts and should not face further reductions when the 2018 Farm Bill is created, according to a coalition of more than 500 groups that wrote to congressional budget leaders. The coalition included groups representing agriculture, nutrition assistance, conservation, rural development, local government and more.
