Strip-till farming slowly catching on in California

Although reduced and conservation tillage systems are widespread in the Midwest, they have been slow to catch on in California. One reason may be the different cropping systems and soil types, making it difficult to just transplant the Midwestern system to the Golden State, said Monte Bonten, chief executive officer of Madera-based California Ag Solutions.
