Study boosts avocados’ heart-healthy reputation
The body of evidence linking avocados to heart health grew last week, according to the Hass Avocado Board, which cited results of a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association. The study showed that eating one avocado a day, as part of a cholesterol-lowering, moderate-fat diet, reduced levels of "bad cholesterol" in overweight and obese people.
