Website helps interpret pressure-chamber readings

Issue Date: July 9, 2014

A new website promises to help growers of almonds, walnuts, prunes and grapes optimize their irrigation practices, according to the site's creators. The Fruit and Nut Research and Information Center based at the University of California, Davis, hosts the interactive site, which synthesizes weather data and UC research to help growers who use pressure chambers to measure plant water stress. The site is intended to help farmers assess their crops' changing water needs more accurately.
