Search continues for drought-tolerant wheat

In two plots a few feet apart at the University of California, Davis, agronomy test fields, doctoral student Junli Zhang is comparing hundreds of wheat varieties grown under both water stress and normal irrigation, in order to see which are best suited to drought conditions.
