New legislation intends to repeal federal estate tax
The American Farm Bureau Federation said it supports legislation introduced last week in both the House and Senate that would permanently repeal the federal estate tax. Sen. John Thune, R-S.D., introduced a bill titled The Death Tax Repeal Act of 2013, coupled with bipartisan legislation of the same title introduced in the House by Reps. Kevin Brady, R-Texas, and Mike McIntyre, D-N.C.
