Volume, variety of bell peppers grow to meet demand
When it comes to bell peppers, consumers now have more choices than ever, with an array of colors, shapes, sizes, and growing practices. While traditionally shaped bell peppers can now be found in red, yellow, orange and purple, as well as green, miniature varieties are growing in popularity, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
