Farm Bureaus join suit against rail project

Following through on plans they announced last month, two county Farm Bureaus have joined with other organizations and public agencies in a lawsuit against the California High-Speed Rail Authority. The lawsuit, filed Friday, says that the environmental review conducted for the rail project is "woefully deficient" and that the proposed rail line would harm agriculture, cultural resources and natural resources including land and water.
