California farm receipts set record of $37.5 billion in 2010

Total receipts for California agricultural production topped $37.5 billion in 2010, a record for the value of commodities produced by the state's 81,700 farms and ranches. The U.S. Department of Agriculture said last week that on-farm revenues in California increased 9 percent, compared to the revised 2009 income level of $34.6 billion.
