UC study tracks food purchases
Researchers found what they called surprising results when they studied the local food system in Santa Barbara County. The study, conducted by the University of California, Santa Barbara, found that most of the produce grown in the county is consumed elsewhere, and most of the produce consumed in the county is grown elsewhere.
