Californian to lead USDA program
Poppy Davis, executive director of the Santa Cruz County-based Ecological Farming Association, has been named program leader for the U.S. Department of Agriculture Small Farms and Beginning Farmer and Rancher Program. The association said she would join the new USDA Office of Advocacy and Outreach, which was created as part of the 2008 Farm Bill.
