Monitoring spores provides head start on mildew control

Powdery mildew accounts for three-fourths of the crop-protection materials used on nearly $4 billion worth of raisin grapes, table grapes and winegrapes. Researchers say help in better targeting or even eliminating these applications may be on the way.
