Through the decades with CFBF--1940s
During our centennial year, we're highlighting a different decade in California Farm Bureau Federation history each month.
In 1942, county Farm Bureaus began collecting scrap metal and selling war bonds to support the war effort.
Also in the 1940s, CFBF formed a partnership to provide workers' compensation insurance (1943) and founded CalFarm Insurance Co. (1948).
The California Young Farmers & Ranchers Program began in 1947.
Next month: the 1950s.
