Through the decades with CFBF--1930s

Issue Date: February 20, 2019
Farm Bureau Monthly from the 1930s

Each month, to commemorate the California Farm Bureau Federation centennial, we're highlighting a different decade in CFBF history.

During the 1930s:

  • CFBF established a regionally elected Board of Directors (1931);
  • Moved its offices off the University of California, Berkeley, campus for the first time, to 2161 Allston Way in Berkeley (1938). The June 1938 issue of Farm Bureau Monthly included an architect's drawing of the building.

During the decade, a Farm Bureau Chorus of members formed, and performed at Annual Meetings.

Next month: the 1940s.
