Utilities agency expands net energy metering options

Farmers, ranchers and other businesses who are customers of small, investor-owned utilities using the state Net Energy Metering Program may now aggregate electric meters to produce renewable energy. The practice offsets energy generated from a renewable-energy facility at one meter and credits it against other meters.
