PG&E schedules several public hearings on rate hikes

As part of Pacific Gas and Electric Co.'s general rate case for the years 2017 to 2019, the California Public Utilities Commission, which regulates privately owned utilities, is holding public hearings regarding PG&E's proposed increase of approximately 3 percent in customer energy bills to support upgrades to technology and electric and gas infrastructure.
