Report tracks precipitation levels in West

Not just in California but throughout the West, farmers and ranchers have been keeping a close watch on precipitation and snowpack levels. In California, the Sierra Nevada snowpack stood at 85 percent of average as of April 1, but had eroded to 70 percent of average 10 days later.
