Crickets unlikely to replace livestock, UC team says

Promoters who say crickets could supplement or even replace livestock as a source of protein in the human diet may be chirping up the wrong tree, according to researchers at the University of California, Davis. The researchers studied cricket production "at a much greater population scale and density" than any previously reported study, the university reported last week.
