Technology summit seeks to aid on-farm efficiency

One recent afternoon, a crowd of farmers and pest control advisors watched a small, unmanned aircraft fire up four helicopter-like props, hover a few seconds close to the ground of a grassy field in Gonzales, then take off to a height of 100 feet, circle the field a few times and return to base.
