Davis-based animal lab screens for poultry diseases

Through a screening process using sensitive detection technology called polymerase chain reaction, scientists at the California Animal Health and Food Safety Laboratory System are working to protect animal health, public health and the food supply by rapidly detecting and responding to catastrophic and emerging livestock and poultry diseases.
