Farmers describe estate tax concerns at hearing

Farmers and ranchers who have suffered the impacts of the federal estate tax say the tax is a significant hit on their businesses. At a congressional hearing in Washington, D.C., farmers described problems caused when the tax forces families to sell off land to pay for the tax, which can be particularly devastating when the land has been in the family for generations.
