UC center adds land

A parcel of land adjacent to the University of California Sierra Foothill Research and Extension Center in Browns Valley has been donated to UC, the university announced. Pacific Gas and Electric Co. donated the 41 acres in Yuba County in coordination with the Pacific Forest and Watershed Lands Stewardship Council, which was created as part of PG&E's 2003 bankruptcy settlement.
