UC researchers travel far in search of new beans

In the agronomy test field on the University of California, Davis, campus, doctoral student Jorge Berny is closely monitoring hundreds of bean plants collected from varied Western Hemisphere climates, in the hope of discovering breeding material for more drought-tolerant crops.
