Recharge project involves agencies and businesses

A groundwater-recharge project on about 52 acres of farmland in Kings County aims to help stabilize local aquifer levels and improve future groundwater supplies. A coalition of water users, public agencies and businesses announced the plan last week, to divert future floodwater from the nearby Kings River to the recharge basin, where it will then seep into the aquifer below.
