‘Strawlage’ as cattle feed to be discussed at meeting

With the drought leaving cattle ranchers looking for sources of inexpensive livestock feed, a University of California Cooperative Extension farm advisor says a special treatment for rice straw shows promise. UCCE advisor Glenn Nader will discuss the product he calls "strawlage" at a meeting July 29 in Willows.
