Processors offer long-term contracts for cling peaches

For the first time ever, California's largest peach processors are offering 20-year contracts to farmers who plant new peach orchards. The action by the three processors comes in response to continued reductions in canning-peach acreage, as farmers replace peaches with almonds, walnuts or other crops.
