Funds allocated to combat pests and diseases in forests

Three California national forests have been selected for federal assistance to combat pest and disease threats. The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced last week that 94 national forest areas in 35 states are targeted for restoration treatments using funds now available through the 2014 Farm Bill.
