Processors to seek new cling peach plantings this year

Like farmers of many other labor-intensive commodities, California cling peach growers have removed acreage and replaced it with crops such as walnuts and almonds. During the past decade, cling peach growers have lost a significant amount of acreage, and now a growers association says canned-peach growers will need to plant additional acres the next several years to meet market demand.
