Irrigation conference looks at water/power connection

With little water in storage and less snowpack in the Sierra, farmers and cities face drastic cutbacks in water deliveries and escalating energy costs. But that may be only the beginning of upward pressure on these two essential resources for agriculture, according to speakers at the California Irrigation Institute conference.
