Rope wicking may provide some carrot weed control

One option for treating fast-growing weeds that tower over young carrot plants may be an old trick called rope wicking, in which a contact herbicide is applied through a rope that moves across the field attached to PVC pipe set low enough to touch these tall weeds, but high enough to miss the carrots.
