Governor’s actions aim to help areas hurt by Rim Fire

After fighting the Rim Fire for more than two months, officials declared the more than 400-square-mile wildfire 100 percent contained last week. With firefighting costs already topping more than $127 million and losses mounting, Gov. Brown signed an executive order to help provide financial assistance to agencies in hard-hit communities.
