Biotech tomatoes may help deliver additional nutrients

Genetically engineered tomatoes hold promise for delivering a nutrient that could help people suffering from effects of troublesome cholesterol levels. Researchers from the University of California, Los Angeles, published results last week showing that mice fed the tomatoes in freeze-dried, ground form had less inflammation and plaque buildup in their arteries.
