Pressure to convert farmland will grow, experts predict

New pressures from high-speed rail and solar-power development, added to California's continued population growth, threaten to accelerate the loss of prime farmland, according to experts who presented their views to the July meeting of the California State Board of Food and Agriculture in Sacramento.
