Once idled, a sawmill returns to operation in Sonora

After two years of silence, saws now spin again at a lumber mill near Sonora. Sierra Pacific Industries said it has invested about $15 million to refurbish and reopen the mill—adding two work shifts and about 130 good-paying jobs.
