Bill allows more farmers to add renewable energy to grid

A bill to expand renewable energy options, including power generated on California farms and ranches, has been sent to Gov. Jerry Brown. Senate Bill 489, sponsored by Lois Wolk, D-Davis, expands the California Net Energy Metering Program to all eligible forms of renewable energy.
