House passes bill to change federal wildfire funding

Wildfire funding legislation passed by the U.S. House of Representatives last week tees up a broader discussion with the U.S. Senate. People seeking to improve the way the federal government funds wildfire suppression activities say they would like senators to introduce companion legislation that could be worked out between both houses.
